Green Thoughts is the second studio album by the Smithereens , released March 22, 1988 by Enigma / Capitol Records . It reached No. 60 on Billboard 200 and No. 17 on the UK Indie Chart . The single, "Only a Memory", reached No. 92 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Album Rock Tracks chart in 1988. THIS COPY is a 1st SRC pressing on the Enigma / Capitol label (see Notes, below). The vinyl has a couple of marks on side one that do not affect playback. Side two is Excellent to Near Mint. Overall, I am grading the vinyl as Very Good Plus [VG+], but do plese note that there is a bit of writing in the yellow part of the rainbow around the label on side one (see label photo / magnify). The original cover also has some writing in the upper left corner area of the front (see photo), and a tiny bit of sticker residue above the writing. The lower right corner (also viewed from the front) is bumped (see photo), and there is light ring wear and signs of general handling. Lastly, there is a small bandsaw cut about an inch from the left on the bottom edge (see cover photo / magnify). Overall I am grading the cover as only Good [G], but it is nicer than that to look at.
